Hi all. I think Max will send this to you in an email but i've posted it on here too.
Agenda for 14th May.
9.30 am - meet in cycling gear outside the Innovation Centre at Chasewater country park. This is where Ironman 70.3 starts.
www.enjoychasewater.co.uk/plan-your-visit
9.45 am - start cycling the 70.3 course. We are extremely lucky to be supported by Mike from Bridgtown bikes who will be following us in his van in case of mechanicals.
2pm (give or take, depending on speed) - finish cycling the 70.3 course at Shugborough Hall. We will then be given a lift back to Chasewater country park so we can all drive back to Bridgtown cycles for a coffee and chat.
4pm onwards - anyone who has booked in for a bike fit can enjoy this - thanks to www.bike-fit.co.uk for their generosity in offering this. If you haven’t had one please do take the opportunity to make use of their expertise. It will save you a ton of time and comfort on race day!
Remember to bring:
Clothes for all seasons including waterproofs
Helmet, bike shoes, bike kit, spare inner tube and puncture repair kit
Food for the ride (this is the perfect opportunity to practice your race nutrition plan!)
Running shoes - if anyone is keen, this would be a great opportunity to do a 15 minute run when we finish the bike ride!
Change of clothes.
Change for coffee
Erdinger visor and Bloc sunglasses - it would be great to get a photo of you all wearing these for the sponsors.
If possible please make sure you have 2 bottle cages on your bike. You’ll need them for race day! If you can’t sort this by the 14th then no worries - you can buy a cage from Bridgtown bikes and we’ll sort it out for you!
Looking forward to seeing you all in 10 days time! Please don't worry about speed - we can split into 2 groups if necessary and the slower group will cycle at the pace of the slowest rider. It's getting round that's important, not how fast we go!!
Any questions - as always put them to me on the forum.
Lucy
